Terms and Conditions (T&C)
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Shielding Integrity Services (SIS) website and/or engaging SIS for chamber validation and testing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These T&Cs govern all work performed, quotations provided, and use of our website.
2. Service Scope and Limitations
2.1 Services Provided
SIS provides independent, NVLAP-accredited electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) chamber validation and testing, including Normalized Site Attenuation (NSA), Field Uniformity, VSWR Free Space, and RF Shielding Effectiveness (SE) assessments, among others.
2.2 Scope of Work
The specific scope of work, pricing, and deadlines will be defined exclusively in the signed quotation or service agreement provided by SIS to the client.
2.3 Accreditation and Standards
All accredited services are performed in strict accordance with the standards specified in the current NVLAP Scope of Accreditation (Lab Code: 200974). Any deviation from published standards will be documented and agreed upon in writing by both SIS and the client prior to testing.
3. Client Responsibility and Testing Environment
The client is solely responsible for ensuring:
- Chamber Access: Providing clear and safe access to the chamber and test environment.
- Safety: Ensuring the environment meets all local, federal, and client safety standards prior to testing.
- Equipment Status: Verifying that the installed shielding, absorbers, and electrical components of the chamber are operational and ready for testing. SIS is not liable for existing facility or equipment faults discovered during validation.
4. Limitation of Liability
4.1 Limitation of Service Guarantee
SIS guarantees that all testing procedures are conducted accurately according to the agreed-upon standards. SIS is not liable for the failure of a client’s chamber or facility to meet the performance criteria established by the required standard (e.g., CISPR, IEEE, IEC). Our role is purely diagnostic and validation-based.
4.2 Indemnification
The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SIS, its employees, and agents from any loss, damage, or expense arising from the client’s facility, products, or personnel during or subsequent to the performance of testing services.
4.3 Limitation of Damages
In no event shall the total liability of SIS, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, exceed the total fee paid by the client for the specific service from which the liability arose.
5. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership
5.1 Test Reports and Data
All raw test data, analysis methodologies (outside of public standards), proprietary software tools, and final reports created by SIS remain the intellectual property of Shielding Integrity Services until payment is received in full.
5.2 Client Data
All product specifications, internal drawings, and confidential information provided by the client remain the sole property of the client and will be protected according to our Privacy Policy.
6. Payment and Cancellation Terms
6.1 Payment
Unless otherwise specified in the Service Agreement, all payments are due Net 30 days upon receipt of the final test report and invoice.
6.2 Cancellation
The client must provide written notice of cancellation. Cancellations made less than 14 calendar days prior to the scheduled test date may be subject to a cancellation fee covering labor and logistics costs incurred.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
